Meet Twist and Stroud
A group of yarn-loving friends creating a joyful new festival in the heart of Stroud.
How it began
Twist and Stroud is a group of friends who enjoy (and may be a little obsessed with) crafting. Some of us knit, some of us crochet, but above all, we all love making!
It all began with a conversation between yarny friends: “Wouldn't it be amazing to have a yarn festival in Stroud?”
What started as a passing thought quickly became something bigger. As ideas tumbled and excitement grew, Twist and Stroud was born.
Having spent years visiting yarn festivals, we knew Stroud deserved something of its own. With its rich textile heritage, historic mills and canal network woven into the story of the town, it felt like the perfect place to celebrate fibre in all its forms.

The festival
Our inaugural event will host a special workshop, as well as a selection of thoughtfully curated local yarn dyers and makers to boost our celebration!
