Frequently asked questions

When is the Twist and Stroud happening?

On Sunday, 13th June 2027.

What are the opening hours?

The market will be open from 9am to 5pm. The workshop will take place between 11am and 2pm. See more details here.

Do I need to arrive early for the workshop?

Yes. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before, so that you can collect your goodie bag (if you bought a VIP ticket), find a seat and settle in. View ticket types.

Are the sites accessible?

Yes, both venues have step-free access and accessible toilets. More about accessibility here.

Will there be a break during the workshop?

Yes, we will break for 30min after the first hour of the workshop.

Will I be allowed to access the workshop if I am late?

Yes, but please find the nearest available seat as quickly and quietly as possible so that you do not disturb the host or your fellow crafters.

Is the workshop for knitters only, or for crocheters, as well?

The workshop is for both.

What do I need to bring for the workshop?

Knitting needles or crochet hooks in at least three different sizes, and a bag of scrap/leftover yarn in different colours, textures and weights, if you have them.

Does my workshop ticket grant me entry to the market?

Yes, the market is free and you will have access to it at no additional cost.

I purchased a VIP ticket. When will I receive my goodie bag?

Goodie bags can be collected upon arrival at the workshop, by presenting your ticket. If you arrive late to the workshop, you can collect your goodie bag during the break or at the end of the workshop.

Can I bring my children to the event?

Children are welcome to the market but the Workshop is for 18+.

Why am I being charged a transaction fee?

The transaction fee covers the costs of processing your order, producing your tickets, and in the case of postal delivery, the packing and delivery of the tickets to you. The fee applies to postal, print at home and e-tickets to cover the costs of: credit card fees; ticketing technology; onsite scanning staff, customer services and administration, all of which are involved in the processing, production and issuing of your tickets as well as safe and secure access to the event. We are doing all we can to manage these costs amidst all costs rising to deliver events and constantly reviewing fees and the customer experience and value for money at our events. The transaction fee applies per order not per ticket. For example, if you purchase six tickets, you only pay one transaction fee.

I can no longer attend the show. Can I get a refund?

Tickets are non-refundable. In some cases, we may be able to re-sell them to someone on the waiting list, but this is not guaranteed. Please contact us and we will advise you.

Will there be food and drink available at the event?

There are plenty of places around Stroud where you can eat and drink. Find out more here.

I am attending the market but not the workshop. Do I still need to purchase a ticket?

The market is free, however, if you acquire a free market ticket from our ticket seller, you will have access to our festival knitting patten for free.
